Our first game of skate for the regional GOS has begun at our home base . Bethany Church was kind enough to let us host our GAME and bring out all the ramps and ledges for a skate jam. The winners of this game advance to the Regional final where they will battle it out with the winners of El Sereno, Belvedere, Rosemead and possibly south Pasadena.

It was a fun time with skating and grilled burgers and we hope to keep the momentum to keep having events in Alhambra. Thanks to all the sponsors: Baker Boys, Primitive and Muhnee Co. To Beth and everyone that helped out at the contest.

Art Work Shop

Angel from FROM Beyond suggested we do an event together and so it didnt take too long to think about what to do. Angel creates all his own graphics for his skateboard decks and clothing, so something art related just seemed right. Let’s get the kids and adults together and do some painting on some skateboards. From Beyond and ourselves are always trying to keep the positive vibes going so he suggested getting AUNT F.L.O. involved. So everyone getting decks to paint would have to donate 2 canned goods to benefit their cause that helps homeless woman. Just needed sum boards and as luck would have it our buddy Daryl and TODD from Razor Cake had some. We received decks from them last year for our “Street Clean Up” and we were more than stoked have them, help us out again. Mixing paint and dipping the brushes into water was being done by people of all ages. There were no rules, but just to be creative. We were fortunate enough to get delicious pizza donated by ROSE CITY PIZZA (Best Pizza in the SGV) and everyone was able to fill their bellies after putting all their artistic energy into painting decks. We collected plenty of canned goods, built on the community engagement and awareness and some really cool art went down. Thank you to everyone that supported the event and sponsored it. Cheers.

Lazy Sundays

This Lazy Sunday we hit up Chino and Diamond Bar skatepark.  Chino was awesome as always. Probably the best skate park within an hour drive. Then we hit diamond bar. The homie said the locals get really stoked when they roll through. Guess not a lot of people roll through. They do. Great vibes here. Park is nice and mellow. Concrete is not slippery at all which is the case most of the time. Lazy Sunday.
